Man In Black - The Johnny Cash Story

Tex Perkins switching from Aussie slang (as narrator) to Johnny Cash impersonation... and kicking it with Rachael Tidd (co-narrator and June Carter) "The Tennessee 4"

It worked!

"An Angel on one Shoulder and Devil on the Other"... hell yeah!

The Esplanade Sunday market, St Kilda (Melbourne)

not very good today... Anzac day weekend and some major footie match on (Bombers vs Magpies)...
only 50% of the stalls showed up.

It still managed a rainbow...

Almost Melbourne

First glare.. reminder of 2nd sunrise..
2 with unfamiliar longing sense..
2 with withdrawal of scent..
2 away from my heart's residence
Well.. 2 nearer to her next presence..

Hello old turf.. This time I will not not wanna leave again.. I'm just a visitor this trip..

Word - Angmogrify

Angmogrify - a local who suddenly adopts a foreign slang n thinks he/she is no longer Malaysian (see transmogrify)

Sentence - wah.. Since mixing with some expats, Ah Lian now calls herself Lillian and speaks with some strange slang.. Where's a sarong to complete her angmogrification?

friday small talk..

part 1
Q: do i have food stuck between my teeth,
A: only a few teeth

part 2
A: Am i not funny?
Q: what's with the self-consciousness?
A: I'm kidding (wide eyes, swirl head action) i know i AM funny
Q: what's with the Indian action? does it help emphasizing your point?

The lovely bones

Well made... Peter Jackson's  slight overdose on the CGI but well made nevertheless..
These 2 ladies had great performances.
oh ya... Marky Mark has another good role.... not bad.

those 3 words...

are said too much... but not enough...
in the dead of night.. when dreams are sought..
when touch and smell ,are drowned by deafening thoughts..
On purpose or unconscious, they reared their worth...
or did they?

so here we are again.... momentary revelations... recorded in eletronic publications..
does THIS save the environment?
sure ain't saving our sanity yet...
hahaha

Ne te retourne pas (Don't Look Back)

I wasn't embarrassed to admit - Monica Belluci  + Sophie Marceau in a film = a must watch for me... even for pure visual sake.
2 of my top 5 most "goddess" actresses of all time in one movie.... well, my 2-in-1 "dream" went a longer way than i ever expected.
Expecting a 2 hour of pure elegance and style etc etc... not to be.
If I hadn't read that it was a Marina De Van film, i would have bet my last dollar David Lynch was the man behind the production somehow.
Psycho thriller indeed... great great acting from the 2 goddesses (they have both aged very well too!. damn...)... but the plot was stessful.

not a bad film.
resolved a problem too... now that they are one... room for more top 5 goddess actresses (whoever said top 5 is only for 5 people anyway? hahaha)

btw .... hattrick of "should have read the sypnosis before watching" completed.

swimming..

how is it that those who are fucken drowning are the loudest cheerleaders for all the dry ones to dive in?
I supposed those swimming well are too cool, chilled and preoccupied enjoying the ride...

the age of stupid

Supposed to be a light hearted "uplighting" flm session after a great meal, among loved ones...
Turned out to be a conscience-provoking one.
Yes, there are counter theories to global warming... and the old escapist "who am I to make save the world" thoughts.
Nevertheless... a commendable film-making effort... a wake-up call for a lazy Sunday evening.
With "Remember Me", a second in a row "should have read sypnosis before watching" session =]

camp..

So the camp erupted in sprays of affectionate saliva and joy juice.. would have put out any fire I had planned to bring upong them.
Wanted to tell them it's just pre-game... warm-up, trials whatever... not even first quarter or half time break yet...
hahahahaha

100408 Quote

A: "I wanna quit my job and be a waitress"... D: "I'll become a very very fat mammal".. A: "uh?"... D: "figure it out"

A: "worse still if chef"
D: "scared... i'll be a stuffed / cooked mammal"

RIP Din

Din and Mila on set Afi and Abah, 2007

Din Beramboi, crazy fella who never read his scripts but can make the world laugh on any take.... we remember you as that.

Last nite, we were at KL Live Laugh Thursday, listening to mostly bad but some pretty good comedians... none came close to your standards.

2 days ago, i heard from another friend of a media personality in sudden coma after falling ill...

Then this morning, sms from Mila, that it was you... and that you have left us.

You certainly laughed alot... and made many many many laughed all the time.. it must have been good while it lasted =]

RIP, brother.... laugh in peace.
