World Cup 2010 - thoughts

The most memorable moment from South Africa 2010 for me?
Not Luis Fabiano's magical goal (even though that is my goal of the tournament)
Not Iniesta's cup winning goal.
Not Casillas' cup winning save from Arjen Robben.
 
It's this.

• Imagine .. Asian Odds for the game -  Germany give 0.5 ball to Uruguay
• Score at Germany 3-2 Uruguay.
• We have all put money on Germany... but many of our hearts were with Uruguay... mine was even on Forlan as my personal favouriate player for the tournament (fucken happe to hear that he has won the Golden Ball)
• Last second of the game...
• A free kick to Uruguay just outside the box (all the bookies, gamblers, team supporters, neutral football lovers had balls in their throat)

THIS HAPPENS!


IF only the actual final had this 3rd/4th place game's quality and drama (sigh!)... instead we saw the Dutch displaying "kicking Spaniards" and referee gaining personal records and the spotlight.

The 2010 World Cup is over (finally). It was largely a snore... with much disappointment and serious lack of magic. Nevertheless, it captured our attention for a month. For what? you may ask... well.... for what's it's worth, the loud noises coming out of the vents at JW Marriot / Starhill basement carpark was a conversation point earlier today. They sounded not unlike the damn Vuvuzelas!!
Time to get back to this thing called life.

oh ya... a cool trivia.
Team of the tournament? No not Spain or Germany.
NEW ZEALAND!!
Why?
The only undefeated team of the tournament!!!
Love it!!

Now... that's a good omenfor the REALWorld Cup in 2011

how is it that those who are fucken drowning are the loudest cheerleaders for all the dry ones to dive in?
I supposed those swimming well are too cool, chilled and preoccupied enjoying the ride...

camp..

So the camp erupted in sprays of affectionate saliva and joy juice.. would have put out any fire I had planned to bring upong them.
Wanted to tell them it's just pre-game... warm-up, trials whatever... not even first quarter or half time break yet...
